In March and April 1958, were the first Moscow International Competition of Tchaikovsky, one of the participants who was a young American pianist Van Cliburn. Exceptionally gifted musician received his first award and a gold medal. Shortly before his departure, Van Cliburn gave a final concert, which was broadcast on television. The audience warmly welcomed pianist and constantly called him for an encore. In an additional part of the concert the musician played his piano presentation "Moscow Nights", filled with unexpected harmony. The applause grew into a thunderous applause ... So the song "Moscow Nights" is out on the world stage, which, according to Soloviev-Gray, just actively contributed to the Van Cliburn.
