Kalinka Kalinka
"Kalinka" ( Калинка) is a Russian song written in 1860 by the composer and folklorist Ivan Larionov.
It has a speedy tempo and light-hearted lyrics.
Kalinka has become enough a part of the fabric of Russian culture that it can be considered a folk song, like the music of Stephen Foster has become American folk songs.
