Lyudmila Zykina
( (10 June 1929 – 1 July 2009) was a national folk singer of Russia.
She was born in Moscow and joined the Pyatnitsky Choir in 1947. Her last name is derived from the Russian word for "loud". Beginning in 1960 she performed solo and according to Dmitri Shostakovich, Zykina was "more than a brilliant interpreter, she was a coauthor, and the co-creator of composers".
Lyudmila Zykina. was not just a singer and actress, she was a admired by all the Russian people. Her unique voice was recognizable and loved by millions of listeners around the world. Her songs have become very popular. People have been listening to her in crowded halls around the world.
She had a magical voice and golden hands. The walls in her house were decorated with embroidered paintings.
